Prophetic Ministry
The purpose of the Prayer Room is to help people encounter God. The Prophetic Ministry is an extension of that mission. It is a safe environment where you can come and receive prophetic ministry.
Prophetic Ministry is available Tuesday evenings during the night sets (6-9pm). Sign-up begins at 6, and ministry begins shortly thereafter. There is someone at the table outside the Welcome Center to answer any questions and help you sign-up. Sessions last for 7-10 minutes. Ministry is available on a first-come first-serve basis and occurs in the sign-up order. You should come prepared to enjoy some time in the Prayer Room as you wait to receive ministry.
Frequently Asked Questions?
What is Prophetic Ministry?
In Prophetic Ministry, a team of 3-5 people will minister to each individual privately (unless people request to go together). The team ministering simply prays and asks the Lord what He wants to share with the individual being ministered to. Prophetic words take all forms and could be scriptures, descriptions of images (with or without interpretation), or simply things the minister is sensing the Lord saying. Our role is to encourage, edify, and exhort, not to give rebukes, corrective words or warnings. If you have a question about a word you’ve been given, don’t hesitate to ask for clarification.
Each person will receive an MP3 recording of the words given to them via email immediately following the ministry session – come prepared with your email address.
How do I sign up for Prophetic Ministry?
- Sign up on the sign-up sheet located outside the Welcome Center (which is across the main hallway from the auditorium where the Prayer Room is)
- Make a name tag for yourself
- Sit in the section of the Prayer Room identified on the instructions next to the sign-in sheet
- As you wait, pray that God would prepare your heart for whatever He is wanting to say to you
- Someone will come and get you from the Prayer Room when it is your turn
- Be prepared, we will ask you to fill out a feedback form afterwards so we can continue to improve our ministry
What do I do with the Prophetic Word after I’ve received it?
- Immediately write out the word if it was not recorded and consider transcribing if it was recorded. In doing so often the Lord will reveal more of what He’s saying to you.
- Seek the Lord about the word. Meditate on what was said. Pray and ask for greater revelation.
- Review the word with a spiritual authority in your life who knows you well and can pray with you and give insight.
- Do not move on any word without confirmation and counsel
- Prove every word with Biblical principles and a witness of the Holy Spirit
- Make note if the word is edifying, encouraging, and/or exhorting. If it is not, it may not be a word from the Lord.
- Make note if the word is comforting and brings confirmation to things that God has already been speaking to you.
- Note what fruit the word bears. Fruit of the Spirit, peace, comfort, or if it brings confusion. (Don’t be hesitant to ask the giver of the word for clarification.)
- If the word does not seem to fit or bear witness with you then “shelf it” until a later date. If it is the Lord it will prove so in time.
- Remember that no man sees or hears God’s voice perfectly. Every word we get must be weighed.
Can I join the Prophetic Ministry Team?
